Summer is here and that means that the Cedar Rapids Ultimate Youth League is right around the corner.
Youth League is an opportunity for kids in the area to develop their Ultimate skills, learn from certified coaches or even experience Ultimate for the first time. The league will provide a chance to play Ultimate in a safe, organized environment that emphasizes learning and encourages Spirit of the Game. Regardless of skill level, from experienced player to someone playing for the first time, there will be plenty to learn and experience at Youth League this summer.
The Youth League will be hosted Tuesday and Friday nights, 6PM to 8PM, from mid-June through the end of August. We will play at the park at the intersection of 10th Ave and 6th Street SE, near the NewBo District. Tuesdays will focus on skill and player development and Fridays will be dedicated to game play. The fee to register is $40 and includes a CRU reversible jersey, a CRU disc and 10 weeks of Ultimate. Plus, you can register online, right now.
Cedar Rapids Ultimate is excited to help spread the joy of Ultimate in the Cedar Rapids area. We are partnering with Jane Boyd and Big Brothers, Big Sister to provide the children they serve with a chance to try Ultimate.
